Referee’s fault in the World Cup 2010 like Robert Rosetti, the World Cup referee who wrongly awarded a goal to Argentina in its second-round wins against Mexico. There are two types of bad calls – poorly made referee judgments on fouls, and mistakes due to bad “positioning.” Other types of calls – such as determining if a player is offsides or deciding if the ball has crossed the goal line – are less subjective. These calls do, however, require keen vision by the referees as well as a good line of sight. After two high profile blunders in one week, there are renewed calls for technology assistance.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has already said goal-line technology, talk of which was shelved at an International FA Board meeting in March, will be back on the agenda at Fifa meetings later in the year.

And Valcke said: “Goal-line technology is something you can use because it gives definitely the chance for the referee to understand the ball is in when he cannot always see it, as we have seen during this World Cup. That’s an alternative we can work on for the future.”

A tropical storm warning was issued in the lower Rio Grande valley along the border, from south of Baffin Bay, Texas to Rio San Fernando, Mexico. The warning signaled the storm could make landfall within the next 24 hours. And then,, a tropical depression churned over Mexico’s border with Texas on Thursday (July 08), dumping heavy rains on the already badly flooded region, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

“It’s difficult to describe,I was born and raised on the Mississippi River, but people here are used to just a small stream.” said Jerry Archer, manager of Rio Grande Plaza Hotel.

Garza said that “he was confident the combination of U.S. and Mexican emergency channels would siphon off enough water to avert the threat to Matamoros downstream. But some questioned why dam levels along the river and its tributaries were kept so high before the rains hit. The problem is, we had rainfall beyond historic levels, “

LeBron James make disastrous for Knicks. For now, and for good, it doesn’t matter how close the Knicks came to signing LeBron James, if they finished second, third or sixth. For now, and for good, it doesn’t matter that James Dolan sent Isiah Thomas to do his final bidding before the King, a bald act of treachery that shows how little regard he really has for the intelligence of the fans who fill his building, whom he hollowly called “the best in the world” yesterday afternoon.

“I can’t say it was always in my plans, because I never thought it was possible. But the things that the Miami Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in a position this summer to have all three of us, it was hard to turn down. Those are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game today.” James said on a made-for-Lebron live show on ESPN.

But in the Cleveland, fans yelled in anguish.“I wanted to do what was best for LeBron James … At the end of the day, I feel awful,”

James said. “I feel even worse that I wasn’t able to bring an NBA championship to that city. Winning is a huge thing for me. To my real fans out there, I hope that you’ll continue to support me all the way to Miami.”
